As a wife and mother of three, feeding our family on a single income has always been a challenge...

I knew that the Thermomix would save me time and money, and was extremely happy when I realised just how much! Before Thermomix, my average weekly grocery spend was $318.56. With my TM31, an average weekly grocery spend is now $238.31 - a massive saving of $80.25 per week! Thermo Fruit Rolls from the 'Lunch Box and After School Ideas' booklet and Vegetable Stock Concentrate from the Everyday cookbook are my favourites for utilising any fruit or vegetables heading towards their use by dates.

We are also buying less takeaway. Why would we bother when I can whip up a tasty, nutritious, restaurant-quality meal in less time than it takes to pick up a pizza? Why would we buy commercially produced ice-creams when we can have real fruit sorbet in a flash at a fraction of the cost and with no nasty numbers? I love that the Everyday cookbook recipes call for a short list of simple, natural ingredients that are technology- and additive-free.

My 7-year-old son who is extremely fussy said that he really loves all of the food that I am making in my new machine. He is eating things now that he would never eat before. My only ‘worry’ is deciding how I am going to spend my extra $80! (A weekly massage sounds nice!)
