My love affair with Thermomix began nearly four years ago when this amazing machine arrived in my kitchen for the first time.
Before long I was creating dishes I’d never thought possible. I would often talk to people about my machine and wondered to myself if I could possibly become a Consultant until Juanita Allies talked me into becoming one! Twelve months down the track the highlight of my Thermomix experience is the wonderful people I have met along the way. The Thermomix is a magnet for delightful, interesting people and I am constantly inspired by my fellow Consultants, customers and ‘future customers’ (as I like to think of all other demo attendees!). Many of my customers have become my friends and we love sharing ideas or going shopping to hunt down obscure ingredients together.
Some special customer experiences which come to mind include: the delivery briefing to my most senior customer, an 83 year old who picked up the basic functions in about 5 minutes flat and then corrected me when I pressed the wrong button; the mother of five who once made everything from scratch and now doesn’t have to stay up ‘til midnight cooking for her children; and the delivery demo which was the first social occasion in three years for a family who had been devastated by a tragic death (they have since told me what a difference it has made coming together as a family and cooking with their Thermomix – pretty emotional stuff!). My one piece of advice? Take great care of your customers and the rest will take care of itself.
